Little Brotherlocks

So what happens when your mother gets trained to do
Sisterlocks™ / Brotherlocks™ ?

Well these pages will tell the story.

Back in July 2000 when first  trained, I asked my 11 year old son about getting Brotherlocks™ .  Well his answer at the time was NO NO and NO!!!

Well I did not push the issue.  In fact I gave up the on idea all together.

He's always had the perfect hair for natural locks.  What can I say… this is the texture that shortly after being combed … Quickly returns to it's original state.
                   AKA "BB's"

My question of the day would always be ….did you comb your hair????
   and of course
his answer would be YES … SURE

Well several weeks ago I got a call at work telling me about his decision to cut his hair on the sides and lock the top.  I was shocked.  His hair grows real fast but every time he would get some length he would get it cut.
But this time was different.  I wasted no time.  He happened to be off school for Fall break so this was a perfect time for me to take my time.
So during a long 4 day weekend I set off to complete my task.

Part of the job was done at Grace's shop (My consultant).

I had her there to assist me when I had questions.  Parts were also done at home.

Quite a challenge doing a relative I would say.  He would want to move around, play with his video games and even sleep in awkward positions while I was trying to do this "first" time locking session.

I was very surprised I was able to lock his hair.  It was real short in some places.
Some areas I had to let Graces trained hands help.  For the most part I did it all by myself.

I guess as a mother I can
Proudly say …..
He's following in my foot steps..

You go "Little O"
  the middle school girls are
               going to just love it!!!

Parting sizes are very
important to get a uniform look.

"Now she's knows
I DON'T like combing my hair …. What is she doing???

Did I say I wanted this done ...What was wrong with me???"

A mother's caring hands.

"I'm Not letting my guard now … Oh NO …
I've got my eyes on her"
